How to Send A Direct Message On Instagram
To send your very first DM on Instagram, take a picture as you generally would. You can apply all the same filters to "DM photos" as you can with all other Instagram messages. When you prepare to send it directly to someone (or a group of people)-- tap NEXT as usual.
From the Share to menu in the direction of the top of the display, faucet DIRECT (see # 1 in screenshot below). Currently faucet inside the Write a caption ... window, and kind out your message (see # 2 in screenshot listed below).
When you're done composing your message, tap OK.
Now scroll through your list of Instagram calls and also tap the circle beside their name to make sure that an environment-friendly "check mark" shows up. KEEP IN MIND: you can pick more than one recipient if you intend to share a message or image with a group of people.
When you're ready to send out the photo as well as message, tap SEND TO (NAME).
