How Do You Direct Message On Instagram
To send your very first DM on Instagram, take an image as you normally would. You could apply just the same filters to "DM photos" as you could with all various other Instagram posts. When you prepare to send it straight to somebody (or a group of individuals)-- tap NEXT as usual.
From the Share to food selection in the direction of the top of the screen, faucet DIRECT (see # 1 in screenshot below). Currently faucet inside the Write a caption ... window, and type out your message (see # 2 in screenshot below).
When you're done composing your message, faucet OK.
Currently scroll with your checklist of Instagram contacts and touch the circle beside their name to ensure that a green "check mark" shows up. NOTE: you could pick more than one recipient if you want to share a message or photo with a team of individuals.
When you're ready to send the photo and also message, tap SEND TO (NAME).
When they open up Instagram, they'll be presented with a notification on the "mailbox" symbol as illustrated in the screenshot below.
Upon touching that mail box, they'll see that a new message as been sent from you.
When they tap the message, it's presented to them in the layout illustrated below.
From here they can react to your message.
If/when they do, you will have a notification symbol in your mailbox.
The "blue bubble" (see screenshot) highlights that the photo has been commented on (and for how long earlier).
When you tap the 'response' in your mailbox, you'll be be able to watch their reaction, as well as carry on the 'conversation' if you would certainly like.
