Send A Dm On Instagram
To send your very first DM on Instagram, take a picture as you generally would. You can use just the same filters to "DM photos" as you could with all various other Instagram messages. When you're ready to send it directly to a person (or a team of people)-- tap NEXT as usual.
From the Share to food selection in the direction of the top of the screen, tap DIRECT (see # 1 in screenshot below). Now tap inside the Write a caption ... window, and also type out your message (see # 2 in screenshot listed below).
When you're done composing your message, tap OK.
Now scroll through your listing of Instagram calls and touch the circle next to their name to make sure that an environment-friendly "check mark" appears. NOTE: you could pick more than one recipient if you intend to share a message or photo with a group of people.
When you prepare to send the picture and message, tap SEND TO (NAME).
When they open Instagram, they'll exist with an alert on the "mailbox" symbol as shown in the screenshot listed below.
After touching that mailbox, they'll see that a brand-new message as been sent out from you.
When they tap the message, it's presented to them in the layout highlighted below.
From here they could respond to your message.
If/when they do, you will certainly have a notification symbol in your mailbox.
